The brief

Access Flooring Shop is the online trade counter for Metalfloor UK, in Burscough, Lancashire. They have sold raised floor panels, steel pedestals and accessories since 2012, from a fully stocked warehouse, for commercial, industrial and data centre work. Next-day delivery and trade prices are how contractors buy. The old shop was on BigCommerce, and it had been outgrown.

The trade

A warehouse that already knew the products

Thirty years in the trade, and online orders since 2012. Panels, pedestals and gaskets, held in stock in Burscough, for commercial floors, industrial sites and data centres. Contractors who already know the line can order by the SKU. The site had to work the same way.

The catalogue

Two thousand products, brought across

More than 2,000 SKUs were migrated from the legacy BigCommerce platform. Every product image was optimised, so the catalogue loads as a working tool rather than a folder of heavy files.

The pictures

New photography and film

New photography and videography of the warehouse, full edited and made web ready in the form of a hero video on the website. Focused on ensuring the quality of the Access Flooring shop brand, as well as the standard of products was at the forefont to ensure optimul conversion rates.

Go-live

The move, managed through launch

Website branding, a plan for growth, and the migration itself were one job. The old site came down, the new one went up, and the team stayed with it through go-live.

Outcome

The full catalogue now sells from one site: the brand, the pictures and the ordering together. The legacy BigCommerce shop is behind them, and the new one was supported through go-live.
