Cartmel Cheeses is a well established shop and deli, local to the MUV office in the village of Cartmel, Cumbria. Popular with visitors and high end restaurants such as the 2* Michelin Star L’Enclume, they are generally regarded as one of the best cheesemongers in the UK.
The client had never had a website before, but had seen demand for telephone orders, and there was potential to develop the gift side of their business, especially seasonally around Christmas
We developed a brand based on their existing logo and created a bespoke WordPress site, using Woocommerce to fulfil orders. As part of the project, we managed and assisted in a full day shoot with Lee John Mann Photography, producing some stunning shots of the core range of products.
Keen to help the client develop their online offering, we proposed a subscription model, giving the customers the option to purchase a tiered monthly subscription, with cheese delivered directly to their door. This was launched in addition to the standard online shop model.
On an ongoing basis we worked to optimise the site. This has included work to design and develop a bespoke cart/checkout, allowing customers to select click and collect as an option, while showing available time slots. Alongside the web work, we also now manage Cartmel Cheeses Google Ads campaign, with a focus on their gift hampers.
