Shop Fitting Supplies became a MUV client back in 2013. They are at the forefront of their industry, with 40 years of experience. Their web presence was rather dated, and their online performance had been falling for several years. New competitors had appeared, and as a whole, the online side of the business was not performing well compared with the bricks and mortar business.
Our initial task was to look at the performance of the website. It was outdated, did not perform properly on mobiles, and had a difficult to navigate product database.
We began by designing a new website, built on one of the leading eCommerce platforms, Magento.
The aim was to be able to present the vast range of over 10,000 products to customers in an easy to navigate way. We worked closely with the team at Shop Fitting Supplies to provide training to their staff, so that the product catalogue could be added to the new website.
The website is now 7 years old. In the first month, it achieved 30 transactions, converting around 0.3% of the customers into an online order.
The growth over the past 7 years has seen online sales more than quadruple, and telephone orders increase exponentially.
MUV now manages all aspects of the business’s website, as well as social media and Google Ads. More recently we have begun working on SEO for the site, which initially involved a complete rewrite of all product categories, and restructure of the product navigation.
We started working on their Google Ads campaigns over 5 years ago. In that time their paid campaigns have been used to increase visibility of specific products and categories, to improve their online sales. We carried out a complete restructure of the existing campaigns to ensure the keywords and ad groups were highly targeted, to reduce wasted expense. Over the years, we have not only run their core campaigns but have quickly been able to promote new and used stock online, as well as improving their brand presence.
Since 2015, their click thru rate has increased by over 800%, conversion rate has doubled and cost per acquisition has reduced by 40%. With the launch of their new website shortly, we are looking forward to seeing these figures improve further, as well as launching customer review widgets onto their site and implementing dynamic call tracking, to provide us with a better understanding of their offline sales.
Owing to the success of the past 5 years, MUV was commissioned to develop a brand new website for Shop Fitting Supplies Online, which launched in Jan 2022. This is built on Magento2 to provide a platform which is scaleable, robust and more compatible with a greater number of third party platforms. At the same we modernised the look and feel of the brand and improved the user interface.
